MYO — Incredible new wearable gesture sensing

The MYO is a wearable armband that senses the electrical activity of the muscles in the forearm — down to the motion of individual fingers. It also features a 6-axis inertial measurement unit. In combining this motion sensing and muscle activity sensing it can do incredible things. Interestingly, because it measures electrical activity in the forearm muscles, gesture sensing can seem instantaneous as the muscles fire before the hand or fingers start to move. Read the FAQ for more. Pre-orders now with devices available in late 2013. A future class is going to have a lot of fun with this thing.
